Alison Terrace, a single-story dwelling situated in Randwick, has been masterfully transformed from a commercial space into a residential home. Studio Gaxa scope of works encompasses the design of the new external staircase and first floor balcony under a Develpment Application plus patio, landscape, and entertainment areas, enhancing the property’s overall charm and usability with an inviting outdoor space that complements the home’s new residential function. 

The renovation involved a comprehensive redesign of the outdoor space to maximise the use of the garden area and optimise views from the top bedroom. Studio Gaxa incorporated blue-grey tones against a white backdrop to elevate the look and feel of the patio and outdoor dining area. The design seamlessly blends eclectic and sophisticated styles, ensuring a harmonious integration of contrasting textures and colours. 

The aim was to breathe new life into this Randwick property, turning it into a cohesive and functional home that extends its stylish interiors into the outdoor spaces. This approach prevents the outdoor area from becoming an afterthought by ensuring it complements the interior’s vibe with corresponding design elements and textures. 

Studio Gaxa’s project director worked closely with the owners to open up and unify the space, focusing on creating a fluid transition between the indoors and outdoors. By mirroring interior design elements outside, the team established a cohesive aesthetic that invites relaxation and entertainment.
