Studio Gaxa, embarked on a project to create the client’s dream home, drawing on the family’s heritage and the property’s scenic location near the ocean. This collaboration led to the birth of Zoe House, a three-level Mediterranean luxury home designed to emulate the serene beauty of the Greek Islands.

The name “Zoe” stems from the Greek word for “life,” chosen to reflect the vibrant and life-affirming qualities of the Greek Isles that the clients cherish. It symbolises the home’s aim to be a haven of vitality and peace, mirroring the essence of its Mediterranean inspiration.

The design of Zoe House covers all three levels, focusing on a palette that includes travertine as a standout feature, complemented by micro-cement, grained timber, and linen. These elements combine to form a minimalist yet textured palette that pays homage to natural beauty and craftsmanship, resonating with the Mediterranean theme.

We were engaged by the client mid build to translate a cohesive design message and provide a detailed documentation package. Picking every fixture, piece of equipment, fitting, surface finish to align with the client’s needs and personal style.

Through meticulous planning and collaboration, Studio Gaxa have not only met the client’s brief but also created a timeless and serene living environment in Zoe House, embodying the essence of Mediterranean luxury and the lively spirit its name suggests.
